Membership
By becoming a member, you join a community dedicated to making a meaningful impact and contributing to the association’s mission. Membership is for those who want to support the organization both actively and financially, and who wish to be part of a committed network working toward lasting change.
Membership is required to be eligible for leadership positions in the association and for the right to vote in the association’s elections and meetings.
It is not obligatory to be a registered member of the association in order to apply for volunteer positions in projects, read more about volunteering here [insert link], however membership offers many benefits that can make your volunteering experience smoother, more immersive and more rewarding. Supporting membership is also an option for associations and corporations, and those who wish to aid our cause without getting too involved, read more below. Membership is valid for the calendar year, and will be renewed yearly.

How to become a member?
There are two member classes in EWB-FI; regular members and supporting members.
Regular members enjoy all the rights and benefits listed above, while supporting members do not have the right to vote in the association’s elections. Regular members are either working professionals, or students, job-seekers, or pensioners, who are currently residing in Finland or are Finnish citizens.
Pricing of the membership is according to the applicant’s situation as stated below. It is not mandatory to be an engineer, having an engineering mindset is enough!
Any person, association or corporation can apply to be a supporting member.

Members receive priority consideration when applying for projects and are included in the project volunteer database for targeted recruitment.
